Juergen H Roesken

Juergen H. Roesken, 58, of Appleton WI, died at his home with his wife Myshelle by his side on March 11, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Juergen was born on November 11, 1951 in Bremen, Germany, the son of the late Horst Roesken and surviving mother, Gerda Roesken. In 1954, Juergen and family moved to Appleton, Wisconsin. Following graduation from Appleton West High School in 1970, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Hawaii, serving as a quartermaster on the nuclear submarine USS Daniel Webster. Juergen obtained classified status and extensive knowledge in graphic and mechanical design during his enlistment. Following his 4 year Navy term, Juergen returned to Appleton, Wisconsin and created a long and successful career in Architectural Design, culminating his career with McMahon and Associates, Neenah, Wisconsin. In 1998 he married Myshelle Freeman, and had two beautiful children, daughter Dylan (9yrs old) and son Grady (5 yrs old). Juergen was a talented artist and calligrapher, and also an avid reader. His family and friends enjoy his numerous artistic creations, and they will cherish these works forever. Above all else, Juergen was a remarkable son, brother, father, husband, and friend. His humility, courage, and indomitable spirit were an inspiration to all who had the opportunity to be with him. Juergen cherished his family above all else. Juergen will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his loving wife, Myshelle (Freeman) Roesken, two children; Dylan Rose Roesken and Grady Lee Roesken, his mother; Gerda Roesken, sisters; Monika Brooks and Tina Smith, and brother Rudy Roesken. Juergen was preceded in death by his father; Horst Roesken.

Funeral service for Juergen will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, March 15, 2010 at Appleton Alliance Church (2693 W. Grand Chute Blvd) with Rev. Brian Dainsberg officiating. Friends may visit the family at church Monday from 2 pm until the hour of service.
