Donald R Froehlich

Donald "Frog" Froehlich, of Appleton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on April 13, 2010 at AMC. He was 82. Don was born on June 5, 1927 to the late Bernard and Florence (Gerry) Froehlich. After serving as Military police in the Army, he worked as an electrician at Riverside Paper mill. On October 16, 1948, he married the one love of his life, Rita Kohh. Together they spent 61 wonderful years. Frog enjoyed dancing, playing cards, fishing, flowers, motorcycles, and his greatest pleasure, a new car in the driveway! Donald and Rita are charter members of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post # 38.

Donald is survived by his wife, children; Ron (Colleen), Christine (Rob) Glasel, grandchildren: Scott (Amy), Nathan (fiancAC. Gena) Froehlich, Jon (Laura) Glasel, Nicole Glasel, great-grand children Cole and Louis Froehlich, Zoe Glasel, in-laws: Ken (Ginny) Kohl and Carol Mauthe.

"Frog" will be greeted in Heaven by his parents, brothers Gordon and Ralph, sisters; Myrtle Peske, Beatrice Schultz, Anita Gaulke, in-laws: Clinton, LaVerne, Edward, James Kolh, Margarete VanderVelden and Mary Keefe.

Funeral mass for Donald will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W Marquette, Appleton. Fr. Andy Kysely officiating. Friends may visit beginning at 9:30AM until time of service at 11:30AM

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the loving and caring staff of AMC Hospital, Appleton Healthcare Hospice and Appleton Health Care Center for all the thoughtful and gentle care given to Donald.
