Dearest Carla, our love and sympathy go out to all of you at this difficult time. LaVera was a very special lady and she will always be with you. I am so sorry that I can't be with you as you say your goodbyes to a your sweet mom, but know that you will understand as tomorrow is my mothers 90th birthday and my sisters are all here to be together to spend her special day with her.

LaVera and her late husband Les were our neighbors for 10 years in Menasha. Her family all knew me and my daughters, and were always available to help me with many things.
Cindy Simon Eberly was my babysitter for so many of those years, and always did a great job of caring for my girls! LaVera will be missed, and her love lives on in each of her children and grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren Such a great family she raised! Love to all form Christine in California!

Growing up with you all as neighbors was such a blessing. I'll always remember Lavera as a true "spit-fire". So tiny, so feisty, so sweet. During the earlier years I remember her being that 3rd eye for mom (Aline) and from time to time we'd hear her holler from across the way, "now you kids get off that roof before I call your mom!" Later on when we had that fabulous neighborhood reunion at the lake, I saw them for the first time as an adult and realized what lovely, happy & smiley people your mom & dad were. and I could also tell by the love & hugs they constantly got from the grandkids, that they're spirits were true & genuine. You all were blessed and without a doubt, the wind beneath your mother's wings!
