Zachary D. Lane

Zachary D. Lane, age 29, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, July 13, 2025. He was born on May 24, 1996.

Zach attended Appleton East High School and later went on to complete his schooling to become a dental assistant. He had a great sense of humor that could brighten any room and a deep compassion that showed in everything he did.

Zach was happiest when surrounded by loved ones. He cherished time spent outdoors, especially camping roasting s’mores with his family and fishing. Zach also enjoyed playing basketball. He had a passion for music and in recent years, found joy in writing his own songs and producing his own music.

Above all, Zach loved his daughter, Artemis Blair, more than anything. He was also a loving son and brother. Zach always supported his younger siblings attending their plays and sporting events and he looked up to his older sister, Kayla, since he was young. He called his parents every day, just to check in and say hello. It’s those small, daily acts of love will be missed the most. His family will fondly remember his excitement for his grandma’s potato salad at every family gathering, his infectious laughter, and his deep bond with the beloved family dog, Princess.

Zach’s legacy is one of love and joy and it will continue to live on in those who knew him and loved him.

Zach is survived by his parents: Linda and Sid Seehawer; his siblings: Kayla, Maekera, and Gavin; his daughter, Artemis Blair, and her mother, Calypso Schroeder; his grandma, Nancy Lane; as well as many aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Ray Lane; sisters: Raquell Lane and Trinity Seehawer; aunt, Sheila Babcok; aunt and uncle: Sandy and Fred Blohm. Zach is further preceded in death by many extended family members.

A Funeral Service for Zach will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. and will continue until the time of the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zach’s immediate family.
