William Kort

William L. Kort, 78 of Appleton, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025.  He was born to the late William and Josephine (Rateyczak) Kort on October 1, 1946 in Shawano, Wisconsin.  He graduated from Shawano High School class of 1965. William married Linda “Lynn” Horn on August 8, 1981 in Shawano.  In 1992, William and Lynn moved to Appleton.

Throughout his career, William worked for Ozark Air Lines, TWA Air Lines and Green Bay Packaging Inc.  In his spare time he enjoyed skiing, water skiing, boating, hunting, golfing and attending car shows.

He is survived by his wife Lynn, son William V. Kort and siblings, Rita, Greg and William. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Marian and Andy.

A memorial gathering for William will be held at a later date.
