Wayne Louis Deprey, 82, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023. He was born September 1, 1940, in Green Bay, WI to Martin and Charlotte (Lyman) Deprey. He attended grade school at St Peter & Paul School, Green Bay WI; Central Catholic High School for his freshman year on an academic scholarship,and graduated from Green Bay East High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and USMCR and U.S. Army Reserve. Wayne was married to Carol Jean McAllister from 1963-1984.
Wayne was employed at US Celloprint Co, in management at Gateway Transportation, Foreway Express, Bird Trucking (Cross Country Leasing), NM Transportation, and Carroll Fulmer Transportation/Logistics.
Wayne was an avid gardener and canned most of his harvest and shared his bounty with food pantries. He also loved to travel to watch NASCAR races with his brothers. Wayne found comfort in saying the rosary and visiting the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion with his sister, Connie. For the last four years of his life, he resided at American Grand Assisted Living Center.
Wayne is survived by three daughters Penny Miller, Jennifer (Guy) Jackman, and Jessica (Mark) Bogan, his son Patrick’s fiance, Wendy Oberstadt, and eight grandchildren: Emily, Julia, and Olivia Jackman; Grace and Ike Miller; Sam, Ian, and Mara Bogan as well as brothers and sisters-in-law: James (Mary) Deprey, Jerilyn (the late Tom) Deprey, Ronald Deprey, nieces, and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Patrick, and brothers and sisters: Donald Deprey who died serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, Jeanne (Merlin) Cartier, Cecelia (Robert) Patzke, Melvin (Geraldine) Deprey, Larry (Kathleen) Deprey, Daniel (Mary Maes) Deprey, Mary Ann (Dale) Prochaska, Karen (Donald) Collins, Thomas Deprey, Connie (Royal) Letourneau.
A private graveside service with immediate family will be held. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
