Victor Frank Obituary

Victor R. (Vic) Frank passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, after battling Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) for four years. Born January 14, 1954, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Vic was a husband, father, friend, electrician, deer hunter, woodworker, comedian, and avid Packers fan.

After graduating from Washington High School in 1972, Vic attended Milwaukee Area Technical College to become an electrician. He served his apprenticeship at Trester Service Electric in Milwaukee, where he repaired small electric motors, before working for WE Energies in 1987. He first worked as a power plant electrician at the Port Washington Power Plant and then at the Valley Power Plant in Milwaukee until he retired in 2018.

Vic spent many years exploring Upper Michigan with his wife of 40 years, Cindy. They eventually bought land together and fulfilled their lifelong dream of building a cabin. In his free time, Vic enjoyed woodworking as a hobby, listening to bluegrass music, playing cribbage, and watching the Packers with his son.

Vic was preceded in death by his parents the Rev. Victor C. Frank and Elinore Frank, and his brothers Charles and Eric. He is survived by his caring wife Cindy (Neumann), his beloved children Robert Frank, and Katie Frank, son-in-law Ryan Frazier, and countless friends and family who will forever hold him in their hearts.

The Funeral Service for Vic will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Matthews Ev. Lutheran Church located at 129 S. Mason Street, Appleton WI. Visitation will begin at church at 1:00 p.m. and will continue until the time of the service. To honor his memory, Vic requested family and friends celebrate his life by lifting a few beers and eating pizza immediately following the service at St. Matthew’s. As the eternal jokester, we ask you to share your favorite stories and memories while enjoying a beer or whiskey in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to curepsp.org to support research into PSP and provide hope to others affected by this condition. The family is proud of his decision to donate his brain for further research into this debilitating brain disease.

Thank you to Dimensions Senior Living and Thedacare Hospice for caring for Vic in his final months, and a very special thank you to his wife, Cindy, for her unwavering love and dedication to him throughout his PSP journey.
