Vera E. Krueger, age 98, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025. She was born on October 15, 1926 to the late Louis and Elsie (Wirth) Bellin in Appleton. Vera was baptized on November 7, 1926 and confirmed on March 17, 1940 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton. She married Wilmer “Bill” Krueger on September 22, 1945. Vera was a lifelong member at St. Paul Lutheran Church which she was proud of and dearly loved.
Vera worked for 32 years at Elm Tree, then Richs Bakery, in the company store while raising a family of seven children. The Lord was a focal point in her life. Reading the Bible and meditations were an everyday part of her life, along with weekly church services. Her hobbies included baking, cooking, word search, and puzzles. Vera truly enjoyed her family, especially the grandkids and great grandkids. They made her happy and proud.
Vera is survived by sons: James (Trudy) Krueger, John (Brenda) Krueger; daughter, Kathy (Dan) Dorchester; son-in-law, Gary (Joan) Eick; grandchildren: Brian, Mark, Shelly, Corey, Lisa, Erin, Collin, Josh, Brent, Trever, Krista, Lauren, Lindsey, Morgan; 28 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; brother, Louis Bellin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer; parents, Louis and Elsie; sons: Robert, Kelvin, Keith; daughter, Barbara Eick; daughter-in-law: Janet; sister, Janet (Gene) Palmbach; sisters-in-law: Joan Bellin; and grandson, Brandon.
A funeral service for Vera will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 302 N Morrison Street, Appleton with the Rev. Matthew Holtz officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
