Teresa “Faye” Larson, age 64, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025 in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Faye was born on March 27, 1961 in Tazewell County, Virginia to David and Margaret (Brown) Bowles. She married Thomas (Rick) Larson in 1991 in North Carolina but later moved to Wisconsin where they raised a blended family of three children.
Faye endured many painful and traumatic events while struggling with mental and physical illness for much of her life. She often wished to give up, but she never did. Thankfully, she found her way back to Christ and was brought into the Catholic Church near the end of her life. By the grace of God, she was able to receive many of the gifts the church offers and was blessed with a happy death after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents: David and Margaret Bowles; her husband, Rick; her sister, Rita Cochran; her brother, Jerry Brown; and her niece, Rachel Taylor.
She is survived by daughters: Danielle (Brandon) Cline and Elizabeth Larson; step-daughter, Shanda (Grant) Frydenlund; son, Michael (Katt) Owens; her many grandchildren; her nieces and nephews; and her sister, Chris (John) Taylor.
The family wishes to thank everyone with Compassus Hospice, especially Marissa and Sienna, who brought exceptional care, comfort and support to Faye at the end of her life. Our family also expresses much gratitude to Father Jim Jugenheimer who helped shepherd Faye back to the Lord Jesus.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W Marquette St, Appleton, WI 54911, at 11:30 a.m. Faye will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton.
