Susan (Keen) Siedschlag, age 75 of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2022. She was born to the late Harold and Mildred (Gruenberg) Keen in Antigo on October 23, 1946. Sue worked for many years as a Resident Caretaker for Randall Court; she also worked as a manager at Catherine’s and a bus driver for Kobussen. She was an avid Scrabble player. Sue enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises. She loved spending time with her family and wintering in Florida with their Rice Creek friends.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Chuck, daughters: Kimberly Ann (Dan) Plautz and Wendi Ann (Paul Weisbrod) Butkovich, her brother, Thomas (Gail) Keen, sisters: Kathryn (John) Keddell and Janet Griesel. She is further survived by her sister in law, Lehann “Lee” Mullins as well as nieces, nephews, many other relatives and countless dear friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her brothers in law, John Griesel and Denny Mullins, step father, Ken Vogt and parents in law, Edgar and Elsie Siedschlag.
Family and friends are invited for a celebration of Sue’s life. She has requested no black clothing- only bright colors! Visitation will begin at 11:00am, Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St. Appleton with the service to follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Susan’s name may be given to either the Fox Valley Humane Society or the Veteran’s Honor Flight.
