It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott Romero, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend who will be missed beyond measure. Scott’s life was defined by the deep, unwavering love he held for his children, Dawson, Anthony, and Kaylee. Those who knew him will forever remember the way his face would light up when he spoke of them, and the genuine, quiet kindness he extended to everyone he met. He took immense pride in his role as a father, always striving to be present for the moments that mattered most. Whether he was offering words of encouragement or simply sharing a quiet moment, his presence provided a sense of security and joy that his children will carry with them forever.
We find a profound sense of peace knowing that Scott has returned home, resting now in the loving arms of his parents, Ray and Barbara Romero, who have surely welcomed him with open hearts. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Evelyn Black and C. A. Black, as well as his Grandma and Grandpa Romero.
Scott leaves behind a beautiful legacy through his children, Dawson, Anthony, and Kaylee, who remain his greatest pride and joy. He will be remembered with deep affection by his brothers, Mike (Bonnie) Romero and Stephen Romero, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished bonds. The mother of his children, Jennifer, will always hold dear the memories and the love they shared as a family.
Scott’s spirit will continue to live on through his beloved nieces and nephews, Skylynne (Joe) Weiland, Breanne (Conner) Romero, Jordan (Emily) Ebben, Jeni Lund, and Chelsey Romero. He also held a special place in his heart for his great-nieces and nephews—Rowan and Everly Weiland, Avery Romero-Sutton, and Eliana, Isabelle, and Lincoln Ebben—as well as his Uncle Frank (Debbie) Romero, Aunt Penny, and his many cousins, all of whom brought light into his life. His life was further enriched by his many years shared with Stephanie Wheaton and Layla.
Beyond his family, Scott will be deeply missed by his work family at Sonoco in Neenah, Wisconsin, where he dedicated 24 years of service. Though he is no longer with us, the lessons he taught and the unconditional love he provided remain etched in our hearts. We find solace in knowing how deeply he was cherished; his spirit lives on in the strength of his children, and he will be remembered always as a man who lived for his family. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing he was truly and profoundly loved.
A Memorial Service for Scott will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton.
