- Sandy Jazdzewski, age 68, of Appleton, was called to eternal life on September 11, 2021. Sandy was born April 27, 1953, in Appleton, Wisconsin, as an only child to the late Clarence and Dorothy (Bogs) Ashenberg. As a child, Sandy moved several times during her father’s service in the Army. She and her parents even made a home in France for a bit. While Sandy spent most of her childhood at many different schools, she graduated from New London High School.
After high school, Sandy went on to study at UW Oshkosh where she met her soulmate, Daniel (Dan) James Jazdzewski. They were married in Berlin, Wisconsin, on September 14, 1974, and celebrated just shy of 47 years together. Their marriage was blessed with two children, one grandchild, and three grandpuppies.
Sandy is survived by her son; Wade (Jessica) Jazdzewski, daughter; Kalene (Chris) Olson, and grandson; Kayden. She is also survived by many family and close friends.
Sandy is preceded in passing by her parents; Clarence and Dorothy, in-laws; John and Margaret.
Sandy enjoyed making handmade cards, crocheting, counter cross stitch, countless visits to her peaceful cottage, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and relatives. Sandy’s heart and homes were always open to visitors. She was a friend, mom, and grandma in the eyes of many people.
Sandy was passionate about her positive impact here on earth. She made a difference by volunteering and raising funds for awareness with the ‘sisters’ of her women’s group. She continued to do so up until 2020, where she found herself on a leave of absence due to health.
Sandy was a warrior, friend and mother. Her strength and ability to never give up on her health, since 2011, was felt upon by many until the very end.A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. We will be sharing stories, memories, and laughs to remember such a beautiful soul who is greatly missed.
The family would like to thank all of Sandy’s friends and loved ones for their support over the years. Thank you also to the staff at ThedaCare Medical Center of Waupaca and Appleton, and Valley Funeral Home for all the compassion and care given to Sandy.
