Ruth R. Uitenbroek, age 94, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Rennes Health Center in Appleton. She was born in Saint John on January 12, 1931 to the late Michael and Clara (Popp) Kees. Ruth was united in marriage on May 6, 1953 to the late Claude Uitenbroek.
Ruth was born and raised in St. John, on the Kees family farm. As a devoted wife and mother of nine children, Ruth was a homemaker and a partner on the farm, worked part time at the Legion Club and Pioneer Village as a cook. As an active member of the Apostolic Truth Church, Ruth helped out with food drives, prayer circles, and went on missionary trips to the Dominican Republic, Israel and also a trip to Ireland. Ruth was an excellent seamstress, making many clothes for her children over the years. Ruth enjoyed sewing, oil painting, crocheting, singing, playing piano and playing games.

Ruth is survived by her children: David (Linda) Uitenbroek, Alan (Ginny) Uitenbroek, Claire (John) Beaupre, Therese (John) Burns, Marie Whitcomb, Mae Rose (Mark) Guard, Lillian Graper, Michael (Mary) Uitenbroek, Daniel Uitenbroek; 13 grandchildren: Nikole (Paul) Linzmeyer, Rebecca Uitenbroek, Chloe (Bill) Balwinski, Justin Uitenbroek, Jordan Uitenbroek, Christina Beaupre, Annette Eis, Michael (Danielle) Beaupre, Sarah (Tom) Spitz, Alyssa (Jose) Garcia Guard, Tiffany (Josh) Hartzheim, Eric (Cassie) Graper, Seth (Sami) Graper; 24 great grandchildren; and siblings: Sister Cecile Kees, Sister Marie Kees, Dorthy (Roland) Brandt, Martin Kees, Michael (Chris) Kees, Ann (Charles) Peters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Uitenbroek; parents, Michael and Clara Kees; siblings: Adelbert (Esther and Helen) Kees, Herman (Marie) Kees, Alvera Kees, Lillian Kees, Hildegarde Kees, Sister Anacile Kees, Regina (Armon Zahn) (Marvin) Brickner, Joseph (Joyce) Kees, Leonard Kees; and father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Mary Uitenbroek.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Apostolic Truth Church, 2720 Kesting Court, Appleton. Visitation will take place at the church on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service
