Ronald Tauber Obituary

Ronald K. Tauber, age 92, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 17th, where he passed peacefully in his home.

Ron was born October 13, 1932, to Frank and Mathilda (Tilly) Tauber in Rib Lake, Wisconsin, where he grew up and graduated from Rib Lake High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force. While stationed in England, he met and married the love of his life, Margaret Louden Mouat (Marge). After serving four years in the Air Force, he brought his bride to his home town, where he was employed at the Red Wing Shoe Factory in Rib Lake. After the birth of their three children, Ron and Marge decided to seek a better life for their family. In 1967, he was offered the opportunity to serve the Appleton Police Department. He started out as a Beat Walker and with much hard work, rose through the ranks and retired as a Lieutenant.

Those who were blessed enough to have known Ron, were able to see a man who saw the world through the eyes of beauty and wonderment. Whether it be the beautiful gifts of nature or the simple pleasure of conversation, he truly saw all the beauty and gifts that life had to offer. He loved writing music, poetry and singing. If he had the opportunity to share a story about his childhood home in Rib Lake, his eyes would fill with joy, as he relived his memories of his home town. He had such a positive, thankful outlook that we could all learn from.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, brother Marvin, sister Deloris Kosek and grandson Alec Tauber. He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, daughter Julie Lyons (John), two sons Wayne and Daniel (Fawn), all of Appleton; grandchildren Nathan (Stacey), Eric, Ashley (Adam) Freimuth, and Taylor; great grandchildren Emalyn, Adlee, Christian, Raeyah and Sylvie.

A private family service was held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake, WI. Church burial held at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake.

Fly free our beloved father with the Angels. No man could have been a better husband, father, grandfather or friend. Until we meet again at those heavenly gates, we will cherish all of your beautiful memories.
