Ronald Schroeder Obituary

On October 23, 2018, Ronald Levi Schroeder, caring husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 80. Ronald was born on December 14, 1937 in Greenville to the late Levi and Margaret (Abendroth) Schroeder. On Feb. 20, 1960, he married his high school sweetheart, Geraldine Koehnke, and together they raised one daughter, Cindy, and two sons, Lance and Levi.

Ronald served as a Tank Driver for the United States Army Reserve. He worked over 40 years for Wisconsin Electric; starting out climbing electric poles and worked up to Group Leader for the Fox Valley Division System/Station maintenance. He supervised many substation repairs throughout Wisconsin/Upper Michigan and the replacement of the radioactive rods in the Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant. Throughout that time, he and his wife, Geri, ran a farm in Grand Chute and raised their three children. He served on the Board of Directors for the Greenville Co-op for 15 years and he was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Ronnie was passionate about faith, family, and farming.

Along with his loving wife of 58 years  Geri, he is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Kenneth) Amundson; and son, Levi Schroeder;  four grandchildren: Ronald (Emily) Price, Nicole Price, Janessa (Allan) Widzinski and  Katie (Jeremiah) Harland;  five great-grandchildren: Charlotte Ulman-Price, Devon Price, Wyatt Price, Lincoln Widzinski and  Lillian Widzinski; brother Richard Schroeder; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law and nieces/nephews. Ronald was further preceded in death by his son Lance Schroeder; and his three sisters: Karen Kapitzke, Jane Humpage, and Susan Stolzman.
