Ronald Cooper Obituary

Ronald Wayne Cooper, 72, of Little Chute, passed away on Monday January 20, 2020 at Brookdale Senior Living in Appleton.  He was born on June 23, 1947 in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Atha Cooper and Marian (Pizzala) Heidenreich. He married Rose (Sue) Hartmann and had two children, Laura and Doug. They later divorced, but remained good friends. Ron loved to work to be able to provide for his family and others and was dedicated to his trade at Fox Valley Tool and Die for the past 43 years. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, playing guitar and drums, driving tractors and other machinery, and watching history shows on TV. He also loved James Bond movies. Ron was grateful for many family pets, especially his German shepherd, Sharkey, who he loved taking to obedience training. Ron always was a good sport about his surprise birthday parties that were planned by his family. He was known for his strong will yet considerably generous nature and his signature wave hello and goodbye. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.

Ron is survived by: (2) Children: Laura (Sedge) Southworth of Colorado and Doug Cooper (Erin Reed) of Appleton. (3) Sisters: Shirley Alm of De Pere, Emily Haas of De Pere, Sharon Kardos of Racine; Aunt Elaine Bubolz and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother: Brian Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to a conservation organization to honor Ron’s love for the outdoors.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Brookdale Senior Living and Compassus staff for the loving care they provided.
