Roger LeRoy Hamann Sr., 80, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. He was born on December 11, 1937, son of the late Edna (Strick) and Walter Hamann in Ironwood, Michigan. Roger married his high school sweetheart, Joanne (Holt) on February 27, 1959.

Roger graduated from Butternut High School in 1956 and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force stationed in Hawaii. He worked at Wisconsin Bell/AT&T companies for 30 years and retired in 1991.

Roger will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 59 years Joanne; their three children: Roger Jr. (Connie) Hamann of Green Bay, Rhonda (Paul) Rohm of Manawa, Randy (Brian Bessett) Hamann of Appleton: three grandchildren: Racheal, Rebecca, and Ryan; and several great grandchildren. Roger was further preceded in death by a brother Marvin.

In keeping with the family wishes, a private service will be held.

Roger’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at Cherry Meadows, ThedaCare at Home hospice, especially to Mary. Also to his loving and caring neighbors: Kevin, Pam, Jerry and Kathy.
