It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear father, Richard “Duke” Rabideau, 82, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 23 with his three daughters by his side. Duke was born in August, 1938 to Mel and Alma (Feller) Rabideau. He was the second oldest in the rambunctious Rabideau household of 7 boys who were raised in Kaukauna.
Duke married his true love, the “baker’s daughter”, Inez (“Inie”) Manderfield, and built a life together over 57 years of marriage before her passing in 2019. Duke is survived by his three daughters: Francine Rabideau (John O’Connell), Kimberly Franck, and Diane Anthonissen (Eric Anthonissen), as well as 6 grandchildren: Grant, Dustin, Jordan, Dawson, Evan and Natalie, and 1 great grandchild: Serenity. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Paul. He is further survived by his other brothers Pete, Tom, Mark, John and Mel, and several nieces and nephews and their families.
Visitation will be held at Valley Funeral Home in Appleton on Friday, July 2 from 9-11:30 am. Duke and Inie will be buried together at Holy Cross Cemetery in Kaukauna with a ceremony starting at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Stroke Association.
