Richard James Kichefski, age 83 of Appleton, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15 2023 at Cherry Meadows Hospice following a courageous, brief battle with cancer.

He was born on June 27, 1939 in Rhinelander, WI to the late Frank and Esther (Gelinne) Kichefski.  Richard's accomplishments were many, however, he would have said his greatest were first and foremost the following: 63 years of marriage to his bride, Carol Ann (nee Roble) Kichefski; raising their 5 children, Jeffery Kichefski, the late Julie Ann Kichefski, Jamie (Dale) Monday, John (Gricelda) Kichefski and James (Celeste) Kichefski; Richard “Bucca” is further survived by his grandchildren, Jonathan (Steph) Kichefski, Kailey (special friend, Joe) Kichefski, Connor (Nicole) Mattson, Cassy (special friend, Keith) Kichefski, Emily Kichefski, Kamryn  Kichefski, Grace Kichefski, Payton Kichefski, Anna Mills, Ryan Eifrid, Jillian Eifrid and Kate Eifrid; great-grandchildren, Rachel Kichefski, Mason Kichefski, Carter Kichefski, Kamalani Kichefski, Jacksyn Tynan and Jordy Mattson; numerous other family and friends.

Richard was the epitome of servant leadership before the term was used. He ascended to many roles of leadership, finishing his service as vice president of Therapeutic Diagnostics at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah, WI. He had several long-term friendships that he dearly cherished.
