Richard Jochman Obituary

Richard “Rick” Jochman passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 24th, 2022 at the age of 64 years old, doing what he loved, tinkering in his garage. He was born on March 26th, 1958, in Appleton, to the late Alfred and Ruth (Knuth) Jochman. He resided in the Fox Valley area where he met his wife Julie Miller. They were married in October of 1988. They enjoyed 33 years of a happy marriage and had two children, Hannah and Tyler Jochman. Rick worked as an industrial insulator for Local 127 for over 40 years. He was an incredibly hard worker and a perfectionist. Rick then transitioned to what he said was the best job of his life, retirement, which he was able to enjoy for over 5 years. He was able to enjoy his lifelong passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and cars, especially his Camaros and Corvette, all of which were immaculately cared for. He enjoyed motorcycle trips and going to car shows. Rick also had a special place in his heart for dogs having many throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his “grand-dog” Mando for the hours they would spend together.

Rick was always caring and loyal to the people in his life. He shared lifelong friendships with friends throughout his school years. As a father, he would always go above and beyond for his children.

Survivors include his loving wife Julie, his children; Hannah (special friend Mike Batir) Jochman and Tyler (special friend MaryJo Kanelos) Jochman and his sister Elizabeth (Daniel) Ebben. He is also survived by his in-laws Harvey and Marlene (Polzin) Miller, his brother-in-law Jeffery (Lori) Miller, and his sister-in-law Jodie (Robert) Larsen, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rick is predeceased by his parents Alfred and Ruth Jochman.
