Raymond R. LaBeau, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. He was born on December 16, 1945 to the late Raymond and Clarice (Van Gompel) LaBeau.
Ray was a graduate of Menasha High School Class of 1964. On July 2, 1966, he married the love of his life, Mary Wendler. Ray was employed at American National Can for many years as an Ink Blender before retiring in October of 2004. In his younger years, he loved taking camping trips with his family. He enjoyed playing cards, watching the Green Bay Packers, and playing cribbage with his buddies at the tavern. He was a huge fan of Elvis as well. Ray was also a trustee for the Retirees Club for the FVALC and served as a union steward for the local 77P in Neenah. Family was extremely important to Ray and he loved to spend time with his family creating many lasting memories. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
Ray is survived by his son, Raymond “Butch” LaBeau; sisters: Carol Oliver, Barbara (Michael) Annis, and Renie (Smig) John; nieces and nephews: Danielle Oliver, John (Kacie) Oliver, David (Rachel) Osterling, Chris (Nicole) Annis, Brianne (Andy) Thorpe, and Matthew (Sarah) Talbot. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law: Peggy Kunz, Carol Buck, and her daughter, Amie Russow; special friend, Sandy Beyer; and many great nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary; in-laws: Stanley and Marcella Buck; sister-in-law, Linda Radtke; and brothers-in-law: Richard Oliver and Dennis Kunz.
