Raelene Gail Budrick, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully after a brief illness surrounded by the love of her family on July 19, 2024. Born on July 11, 1956, Raelene was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her. Raelene grew up in Appleton, where she developed a passion for gardening and community service. After graduating from Appleton East High School, she also participated in many church activities. Her green thumb was evident in her beautiful garden, which was a sanctuary for both family and friends. Raelene was a devoted mother and grandmother, always putting her family first and ensuring that everyone felt cherished. She was selfless, kind, resilient and a woman of strong faith, who lent a hand, heart or ear to anyone that needed it. She loved God above all else, and regardless of the challenges she faced, relied on the strength and deep connection to her faith. She was a proud, loving and supportive grandmother who glowed with love with the thought or in the presence of her grandchildren. Forever in their hearts as Grandma B, her smile and generous spirit is with them.
Raelene is survived by her special friend Warren Brickler and her children, Jolene (Brian) Kreski, Donald (Jenny) Budrick, and Bobby (Cindy Hayward) Budrick; her grandchildren, Brylee, Bryce, Kaden, Avery, Peyton, and Mathew. She is also survived by her siblings Gina (Brian) Doule, Craig Mattson, Kevin Mattson, Chad Mattson and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, Donald and Sally Mattson, and her brothers Brad, Eric, and Jeffery.

Raelene's life was a testament to the power of faith, love, generosity, family and strength. She will be deeply missed by all who had the chance to know her, no matter how much, how little or how long. Rest in peace, Mom. Your legacy of love and kindness, your spirit of strength, love for your family, the adoration of your grandchildren, your humor, thoughtfulness and shining light will live on in our hearts forever.
