Appleton, Wisconsin- Peggy A. Holcomb, 82, of Appleton gained her wings and entered into eternal peace on Sunday, August 15th.
Peggy was born January 27, 1939 in White Lake, WI. She lived most of her life in Appleton and Little Chute.
She graduated from Appleton High School West in 1957. After graduating from high school, Peggy dedicated her life to raising her five children.
Peggy was a huge fan of Brett Favre, Lindy Infante, Tiger Woods and Dale Earnhardt Jr. We knew if they were on TV, not to bother calling her because she would not answer the phone! Peggy loved her trips to play bingo or to the casino (especially with her best friend Kay). She loved to eat out, and jumped at every opportunity to do so. Peggy loved pigs, and since childhood, had a huge collection. It was funny to us kids when Mom said she was giving her pigs a bath. Besides watching sports, she liked to watch FOX news and was a proud President Trump supporter.
Peggy is survived by her five children. Amy Krueger (Keith), Jay Holcomb, Jed (Carrie) Holcomb, Ann Holcomb, and Abby Holcomb (Chris Wynveen); her grandson Austin Krueger; her brother Ronnie (Mary Lou) Fairchild; a very close friend/sister-in-law, Mary (AKA Happy) Fairchild; her best friend Kay Remme; and grand-dogs.
In addition to her parents, Flavous and Emma (Combs) Fairchild, she was proceeded in death by one brother, Jack Fairchild; four sisters, Wanda Fairchild, Merlina Perrault, Omeida Tordoer and Judy Kaddatz; brothers-in-law Harrold Perrault, Gene Kaddatz, and William Tordoer; her dog Willie, and several grand-dogs.
Peggy’s children would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation for her best friend of many years, Kay Remme and our Aunt Mary (AKA) Happy Fairchild. You always checked in on our mom while she was with us and you have given us kids much strength and support both then and now.
We would also like to give a huge heartfelt thank you to Dr. Travis Kroner, Nurse Carol, and his entire staff. All the staff at Cherry Meadows, Brewster Village, and ThedaCare At Home Hospice. THANK YOU for your outstanding compassion, care and comfort you provided to our mom.
Chaplain Hope Ergeseth will be dedicating a prayer at a private burial side ceremony at Highland Memorial Park. Please send condolences to Valley Funeral Home.
To Our Mom
I know your life
On earth was troubled
An only you could know the pain
You weren't afraid to face the devil
You're no stranger to the rain
Go rest high on that mountain
'Cause Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son
Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered 'round your grave to grieve
Wish I could see the angels faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing
Go rest high on that mountain
'Cause Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son
Go rest high on that mountain
'Cause Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son
