Pearl M. Paradeis, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was born on November 9, 1943 to the late Wilfred and Elsie (Wetor) Schueller, and lived a life full of love, dedication, and warmth that will be cherished forever by her family, friends, and community. Pearl married the love of her life, Thomas Paradeis, on February 20, 1965, and shared 50 years of memories together until Tom’s passing in 2015. Pearl was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; always putting others before herself. She will be remembered for her “gift of gab” and her way of making everyone she met feel at ease. Her kindness and generosity will never be forgotten, and her presence will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
In 1978, Pearl and Tom joined St. Pius X Parish with their family of three boys. Soon after on any given day, Pearl could often be seen assisting with the school lunch program, helping after school with the Cub Scouts, or racing to one of a myriad of sporting events for her boys. Having been raised on the family farm as a devoted Catholic, Pearl continued to be active in the church and found great strength in her faith and love for the Lord; especially through daily prayer. She often hosted Bible study at home in the 1980s and embodied her love for the Lord in her daily life. Anyone whom she met could see this love reflected in her radiant smile, joyful demeanor, and love of laughter.
Pearl loved spending time with her family and friends and was always eager to meet new people. No matter if it was tent camping with her young family, cheering on Wisconsin sports teams, or bowling with Tom and their life-long “Newcomers” friends, she was always cheerful and having fun. People just naturally gravitated to her. This friendliness made Pearl’s passion to be a beautician an easy choice. As a lifelong beautician, Pearl enjoyed her profession and forged many lasting friendships. She worked at several local salons: Treasure Island’s Beauty Department, Elmer’s Hairdressing, and Trendsetters. Near the end of her career, she also enjoyed doing hair for residents at Rennes Rehab. She earned the loyalty of countless customers with her skill; many who followed her from place to place. In her freetime, Pearl liked to keep a large garden, enjoyed landscaping, quilting, and working on 1000pc puzzles.
Pearl is lovingly survived by her three sons: Brian Paradeis, Appleton, Brad (Yasmine) Paradeis, Milwaukee, and Bart Paradeis, Appleton; granddaughters: Lillyanna and Mila Paradeis; sisters-in-law: Bernice Schueller, Belgium, and Virginia Schueller, Fredonia; as well as numerous extended family members.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Thomas, she was also preceded in death by Ronald and Anne Paradeis, Killian and Mildred Burton, Lyall and Carol Flerchinger, Vernon and Joyce Schmit, Jack and Doris Gahan, LeRoy, Robert, and Ronald Schueller; as well as her in-laws: Wilfred and Ann Paradeis; and her niece, Jill Paradeis.
