Paul Eckes, age 71 of Appleton, passed away on October 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late Hilary and Helen (Wildenberg) Eckes, he was born on September 13, 1952. He married Paula Kluge on December 20, 1973. Paul never saw my disability all we ever did was loved each other. When God blessed us with our two boys, Troy (Annett) Eckes and Michael (Michelle) Eckes our family was complete. Our summers were mostly spent at the Appleton Timber Rattler games, rain or shine. We also loved helping and rescuing German Shepherds for Mit Liebe. He worked at Appleton Papers Locks Mill and stayed through all the many name changes for a total of 44 years. He loved running into any guys he worked with just to catch up or shoot the breeze.
He is survived by his wife, sons, and two grandchildren; Olivia Eckes, Joshua Eckes and Laura Mooney brothers Don (Lin) Eckes, Appleton, and Joe (Deb) Eckes, Milwaukee, sister, Marilyn (Rick) Borree, Little Chute. Paul is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, is his brother Steve Eckes.
