Patricia Cecelia (Gollner) Pechotta was taken home to Heaven on her birthday to meet Jesus on Feb 19, 2025 at the age of 95. She was born on February 19, 1930 to the late Herbert and Agnes (Kronser) Gollner in Menasha, WI.
Pat graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Menasha. She was in St. Mary’s band for eight years during grade school and high school, playing the French horn. During high school, as well as after, she worked in her parent’s grocery store, Herb’s Food Town. She sang in St. Mary’s Appleton Choir and added the Resurrection Choir, singing in both of these choirs until she was 90.
In June of 1958, she married the love of her life, Richard Pechotta and together they raised their children.
After her children were grown, Pat kept busy by volunteering at St. Elizabeth Hospital as well as her continuation of singing in the choirs.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, her parents, a brother and sister-in-law, John and Helen Gollner, a sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Bill Quinn and a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Rose Lavering.
She is survived by her children: Mark (Sharon) Pechotta, Menasha; Anne (Doug) Knapp, Biloxi, MS; Linda, Colorado Springs, CO; Sue (John) Larson, Neenah and Pete (Tricia) Pechotta, Cary, IL. She is further survived by her grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place for Patricia on February 24th at 10:30 am at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W. Pine Street, Appleton, with Fr. Bill Swichtenberg celebrating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday beginning at 8:30 am to 10:30 am, with Mass to follow at 10:30 am. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
