Nancy Ruth (Martin) Olson

Nancy Ruth Olson, age 83 of Appleton, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by love on August3, 2023. She was born on August 29, 1939 to the late Allen and Lillian (Calkins) Martin in Waupaca. She graduated from Waupaca High School with the class of 1957.  On September 20, 1975 Nancy married Robert Olson. She worked as a receptionist for a dental office and hardware store, where she made many lifelong friends. Nancy loved animals, but had a special love for her puppies and kitties over the years.

She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Olson, son James “Jim” Ultang, brother, Richard “Rick” Martin as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and many good friends. She will be missed, especially by her very good friends, Stacy Tesch, Pat Sorenson and Ruth Foss.

Preceding her in death is her grandson, Thomas J. Ultang, her parents, Allen and Lillian “Bunny” (Dushek) Martin, aunts and uncles as well as many special friends.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, there will be no services. An inurnment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Waupaca at a later date. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund to benefit Emmanuel United Methodist Church will be established.
