Nancy Furlow Obituary

Nancy E. Furlow, age 87, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Brewster Village in Appleton. She was born on January 5, 1938 in Abbotsford to the late Chester and Lorraine (Hartsworm) DeNoble. Nancy went on to start a family of her own after marrying Earl Furlow. They had many wonderful years together before his passing in 1993.  Together they had three children of their own, Leslie, Kelly, and James.

Nancy’s will be remembered for all the love she had for her family. She will also be known for how active she always was, even throughout her later years in life. She was always known for her love of sports, whether it was watching baseball or football to her involvement with the Fox Valley Rackets Club. Loon Lake and Shawano were some of her favorite places to bring the family. Nancy’s tradition was to bring her children and, later in life she was also able to bring her grandchildren to the annual Shawano Lake Picnic Day. She felt so much joy when she was even able to take her great grandson there a few years ago.  She was thrilled to keep the tradition going. Playing bridge, mall walking, gardening, and going to feed the ducks were other favorite pastimes of Nancy. She loved an adventure and was fortunate enough to take a trip to New York City with her daughter a few years back, as well as a trip to Cuba with some friends.

Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by two sons: Kelly and James Furlow; son-in-law, Paul Zemblowski; grandchildren: Chloe Zemblowski (Danny Vicchiollo), Grant Zemblowski, Courtney Furlow (Jordan Meyer), Brittney Furlow; and  great grandchildren: Daxton Vicchiollo, and Wesley Furlow-Ames.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Furlow; parents, Chester and Lorraine DeNoble; daughter, Leslie Furlow; grandson, Blair Zemblowski; and brother, Brian (Ronalee) DeNoble.
