Myron "Mike" W. Tiedt

Myron “Mike” W. Tiedt, age 93 of Appleton, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. He was born on New Year’s Eve, 1929 in Greenville, Wisconsin to the late Frederick and Elsie (Stark) Tiedt. After graduating from Hortonville High School, he served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for several years at George Banta Co.as a machine operator. Mike was handy; he could fix anything, and loved the challenge. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Glenn Miller and his orchestra. His true love was time spent with his family, including his cat, Ozzy, they were his world.

Survivors include his daughter, Beth Ebben, six grandchildren; Nicole Nelson, Michael Wallace, Mark Burton, Brock Burton, Brittany Burton and Brandon (Kayla) Burton and many generations to follow. Mike is further survived by his sister in law, Delrose Tiedt, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends as well as a very special great granddaughter, Taylor.

Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers; Wilmer (Sally) Tiedt, Raymond (Muriel) Tiedt and Norman Tiedt and his sister, Phyllis (Orvin) Riechkmann.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton.

The family extends a very special thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, especially the 4th floor nurses as well as the hospice nurse, Ken from Compassus Hospice. You were all wonderful, thank you.
