Mildred Lillian Pagel

Mildred Lillian Pagel “Millie”, 87 passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, peacefully with her family by her side. She was born May 8th, 1934, in Appleton, WI. to Rudolph and Emma (Lueders) Herrmann. Mildred was united in marriage to Edwin Cleveland on July 9th, 1955, in Appleton, WI. Mildred and Edwin had 3 children David, Susan, and Karen. Mildred was then united in marriage to Edward Pagel on April 5th, 1997, in Appleton WI. Mildred and Edward were married for over 15 years.

Mildred was lucky enough to share in the lives of 5 generations of family including, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson. Mildred enjoyed scratching off lottery tickets, crocheting, word puzzles, the game show network, bingo, polka and painting as well as socializing with all of her friends at Simeanna.

Mildred is survived by her children: Susan Cleveland (Wayne) and Karen Bartels (Steve); 6 grandchildren Stacy Cleveland, David Cleveland II, Brook Cleveland, Amy Schneider (Molly), John Schneider and Ashley Hirte (Evan); 8 great grandchildren; 1 great, great, grandson.  Siblings; Helen Shortt, Phyllis Bouchard, Jerry Herrmann (Sandy), Jim Herrmann (Mary) and sister in-law Marian Herrmann. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, son David, and grandson Ryan Hirte. Mildred is further proceeded in death by her brothers Donald, Rudolph, and infant sister Marie as well as brother in-laws Jerry Shortt and Ronald Bouchard. Sister in-law Pat Herrmann. Mildred is also proceeded in death by Gail Reetz whom she was a Personal Caregiver for over 20 years.

A small private celebration of life will be held in her honor. We would like to extend a special thank you to Pat Smith for her wonderful friendship and dedication to Millie. We would also like to thank Compassus Hospice for their wonderful care.
