Michael Loderbauer Obituary

Michael J. Loderbauer, age 83, of Appleton passed away on Tuesday morning, May 14, 2024 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Appleton.  He was born on November 26, 1940 in Kaukauna, son of the late Joseph Helen (Gabrielson) Loderbauer.  After high school graduation Mike proudly served in the U.S. Army.  On June 30, 1964 he married Maude Seagroves and together they started a family.  Maude passed away on April 7, 1977.  In 1980 he joined hearts and families with Connie Wege and they wed on February 2, 1986.  He was employed by White Clover Dairy in Hollandtown and retired in 2005.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; his daughters: Sue (Randy) Graham, Menasha; Tina Bourasaw, Appleton; son-in-law, Paul Younger; step-children: Migael, Michelle, LaMarc, and Chrisopher Babino and their children; 8 grandchildren: Claire Loderbauer; Michael Younger; Eric (Tessa) Forseth, Morgan, Amber, and Justin Graham; Brandon and Courtney Brighum; great grandchildren: Aryanna and Xander; brother, Joseph Loderbauer; several nieces, nephews, and friends.  In addition to his parents, and his first wife, Maude, Mike was preceded in death by his children: Karl, Karen, and Tim Loderbauer; Sharon Younger; son-in-law: Bernie Bourasaw; sisters: Betty Batisa, Joan McCormick, Sr. Jane Marie Loderbauer. 

Michael enjoyed farming and gardening. He was very passionate about photography and drawing. He enjoyed taking various bus trips. He also enjoyed collecting sports cards and sports figurines.  He loved to read books, especially about Oak Island. He loved spending time with his family at Christmas Mountain in Wisconsin Dells. He was a very loving father and friend. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service for Mike will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Valley Funeral Home (2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton).  Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Military Honors will be performed immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

Michael's family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU staff at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, especially Nurse Brittany, as well as ThedaCare At Home for the great care and compassion they provided over the years. They would also like to give a huge thank you and shout out to their step-mom, Connie, for all of the love and support she has given to their father over the years especially when he was diagnosed with diabetes.
