Michael Jacklin Obituary

Michael Gordon Jacklin, age 77, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 27, 2024 surrounded by his beloved family.  Michael was born on February 7, 1947 in Appleton, son of the late Gordon and Doris (Gibbons) Jacklin.  He attended Xavier High School and went on to graduate from St. Norbert College.  During his college years, he proudly served our country with the United States Army.  In 1981, Michael met the love of his life, Candice Galassi, and they married on November 2, 1985.  Together they celebrated 39 years of marriage and were blessed with loving children.  Michael was employed for over 35 years by Walgreens in Menasha and previously on Northland Avenue in Appleton.  Michael enjoyed going out for breakfast and coffee with his beloved wife, Candice.  He found joy in planning vacations, collecting baseball cards, watching the Packers and Badgers, and spending time with his loving family above all else.  Michael’s fatherly wisdom, jovial laugh, and lively sense of humor will be missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Candice; children: Brian Jacklin, Minneapolis; Stefanie Jacklin, Appleton; Ellyn (Jack Brown) Jacklin, Appleton; Megan (Alex) VanderWielen, Appleton; granddaughter, Charlotte VanderWielen; siblings: Thomas Jacklin, Daniel (Brenda) Jacklin, Patrick (Debra) Jacklin, Barbara Bolduan, Kathleen Jacklin; as well as many special nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by two sons: Jon and Jeffrey; and brother-in-law: Charles Bolduan.
