Matthew "Matt" Bergmann

Matthew “Matt” Bergmann, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 6, 2025. He was born on April 24, 1967, son of Clyde and Donna (Montgomery) Bergmann.

Matt was a devoted husband to his wife, Kristy, whom he married on May 8, 1993, in Appleton. Matt was an avid outdoorsman, with a deep passion for deer hunting and fishing. Whether out in the woods or by the water, he found joy in the simple, peaceful moments that nature provided. In addition to his love for the outdoors, Matt also had an appreciation for flea markets and tresherees. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, always eager to create memories and share in the joys of life with those he loved. A true animal lover, Matt’s heart belonged to his many dogs and cats he raised over the years, but especially Boris and Leela, who were not only pets but beloved members of his family.

Matt will be remembered for his loving spirit, his dedication to his family, and his deep connection to nature. His memory will live on in the hearts of Kristy, his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Matt is survived by his loving wife, Kristy; his father, Clyde and step-mother, Mary; siblings: Dan (significant other Holly) Bergmann and Tim (Crystal) Bergmann; as well as many cousins, friends, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna; and grandparents: Marvin and Meta Bergmann and Silas and Charlotte Montgomery.
