Mary E Rushkofske, age 84, of Appleton passed away at home on March 3rd, 2025 with her family by her side.
Mary was born on February 12, 1941, daughter of the late John and Gladys (White) Knuppel. She was the youngest of five and lived in Appleton for 84 years. Mary was united in marriage with Thomas J Rushkofske on April 28th, 1962 at St Therese Catholic Church, Appleton. They shared 50 years together before Tom preceded her in death on September 25, 2012.
She will be dearly missed by her children: Kim (Dave) Schmit, Kelly (Terry) O’Shea, David (Jill) Rushkofske; grandchildren: Sarah Jensen, Sam Schmit, Connor and Sean O’Shea, Jada and Ben Rushkofske; great grandsons: Rylan, Jack and Brooks Jensen. She is also survived by sisters-in-law: Beverly Knuppel, Little Chute, Beverly Gade, Oshkosh and Eva Timm, Appleton. Mary is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her granddaughter Anna Noelle Rushkofske; Sisters: Connie Spoerl and Lorraine Kuester; brothers: Richard and Robert Knuppel; Sisters-in-law: Betty Lemmers, Adeline Kriha and Betty Werner; brothers-in-law: Alan Kuester, Henry Kriha, Donald Gade, Duane Werner and Earl Timm.
The mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 on Saturday March 8th, 2025 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N McDonald Street, Appleton, where mom was a charter member. Visitation will be held at 9:00 until time of service at church. Internment will take place next to Tom at St. Joseph Cemetery. For online condolences please visit www.valleyfh.com.
