Mary K. Morlock

Mary Katherine Morlock, age 70, passed away surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with cancer on April 25, 2022. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on January 2, 1952 to William and Dorothy (Stephani) Martzahl. As a child, her family settled in Darboy, WI where she graduated from Kimberly High School.  Most of her working years were spent as a bank teller. After her children went to school, she earned her associates degree. With her degree she worked as a counselor and at various assisted living facilities.

Mary was a loving mother, grammy, and friend. She had a positive attitude, who believed anything was possible with God and her own silly twist. She was active in her church, St. Pius and volunteered for many other organizations. Mary had a passion for adventure with family and friends. She enjoyed many camping trips with her family; one of her favorite places was Madeline Island. In the winter she could often be found snowshoeing. After she retired, she was able to travel more often with friends. She was always planning her next adventure

She is survived by her children, Christine (Jon) Dungar and Greg (Amanda) Morlock and her grandchildren Jack Dungar, Owen Dungar, Francine Morlock, Eva Dungar, and Addela Morlock. She is also survived by her brother Michael (Lois) Martzahl. She leaves behind many amazing friends, including Mary O'Brien, who loved and supported her. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Dorothy Martzahl.

 Funeral Services will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at St. Pius X Catholic Church; 500 W. Marquette St. Appleton, with Fr. James Jugenheimer officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00-11:00. The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be sung at 11:00. Interment will be held at St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton. 

 The family would like to thank all the caregivers that worked to support her during her journey.

 In lieu of flowers a memorial fund to the Appleton YMCA Livestrong program and the Glioblastoma Foundation will be set up in Mary’s honor.
