Mary Ann Miler, age 89 of Appleton, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah with her daughter by her side. She was just short of her 90th birthday. Mary Ann was born on July 26, 1932 to the late Clarence and Valentina (Fietzek) Waldera in Independence, Wisconsin. On February 13, 1960 she married Delbert Miler, who preceded her in death. She loved to bake, especially pies and shared those goodies with friends, neighbors, doctors and dentists. She enjoyed helping others in their time of need. Mary Ann was a very active member of the Women of the Moose since 1973 and a season ticket holder to the Timber Rattlers, which she enjoyed with her daughter, Patty.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty Miler, brothers; Clarence “Sonny” (Sue) Waldera, Richard (Beverly) Waldera and Jerry (Marlene) Waldera, sister, Bernadine “Beanie” (Bob) Grzyb as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband, Delbert.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 beginning at 10:30am until 11:45am at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 3009 N. Meade St. Appleton, with the funeral service to follow at noon at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mary Ann can be offered to either the Salvation Army Fox Cities or the Fox Valley Humane Association.
