Mary Margaret Czerwinski (Nolda), age 85, of Appleton went to her heavenly home peacefully surrounded by her family on April 7, 2021. She had a brief, yet courageous battle with leukemia. Mary was excited to enter her heavenly home to join her loving husband, Phillip!
Mary was born in Iron Mountain, MI on November 29, 1935 to loving parents Frank and Mary Nolda. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1953. Mary met Phillip Czerwinski on a visit to Appleton in 1954 and they married a year later on August 6, 1955. They enjoyed 47 years together before Phil’s passing in 2002.
Mary is survived by her children, Michael (Nancy) Czerwinski, Appleton and Bonnie (Ron) Huisheere, De Pere. Grandchildren Jeremy (Karen) Huisheere, Brian (Claire) Huisheere, Katie (Josh) Berceau. 4 great-granddaughters, Kamrin, Colleen, Juliette and Blake and her grand-dog, Benji. Mary was also survived by her precious cat, Kallie, who was her loving companion.
Mary was gladly welcomed Home by her beloved late husband, Phil, as well as her parents, Frank and Mary Nolda, her sister Lorraine Mariucci (Nolda) and 2 step brothers Bernard and Raymond Pospychala. Mary is also preceded in death by many other family members, friends and pets.
Mary worked for many years at Oral Maxillofacial Surgical Associates and Dr. Faber Dermatology until retirement. She continued working part-time for Christopher & Banks and Kohl’s after retirement. Mary has been involved in music her entire life and was still in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church choir up until the pandemic. She enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends, going to movies, playing cards, travelling and shopping. Mary loved spending time with family and her furry companions Lilly and Kallie.
A private memorial service will be for family only. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Mausoleum, Appleton, joining Phillip. A special thank you to Theda Care Hospice, Theda Care Cancer Center and all of the staff & friends at Primrose Retirement Community. Mary generously donated her body to science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
