Marlene M. (Wallin) Seidel

Marlene M. Seidel age 84, of Appleton, WI, passed away after an illness on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Oakridge Gardens in Menasha, WI. She was born on July 19, 1939 in Gays Mills, WI, daughter of John and Emma (Kelly) Wallin. On July 7, 1956, she married Dwane Seidel because “the ring fit”. Marlene was by his side during several business adventures including Seidel Trucking, D&M Delivery, Pinkerton and Electronic Filing Center owned by their son, John Seidel.

Marlene is survived by two sons John Seidel and James (Debbie) Seidel; one daughter Mary (Mark) Shest; grandchildren Brian Seidel, Heather (Mariano) Gonzalez, Tara (Shane) Fischer, Mitchel (Heather) Seidel, Taydom (Jeff) Wilmot and Jared (Anne) Wilmot; eight great grandchildren Selena, Sofia, Landon, Bennett, Kaelyn, Harlee, Jazellya and Kymani; one brother Paul (Pat) Wallin; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband Dwane, she is preceded in death by five sisters Ruth, Isabelle, Hazel, Margie and Maxine and brothers Orlan’ Leoand Bob.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond Street, Appleton, WI 54911. Burial of cremains will be Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI. Family and friends may greet family on Thursday, Aug. 10th from 9:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
