Mark J. Kohl

Mark "Amos” J. Kohl died peacefully in his home on November 11th, 2024, in Appleton WI at the age of 67. Mark was born January 26, 1957, to Clarence and Marie (Van Den Boogart) Kohl.

Mark is survived by his son Justin (Jessica) Kohl; Granddaughters Ava Kohl, Faith Kohl; Siblings, Jerry (Linda) Kohl, Bob (Sue) Kohl, Bill (Rosie) Kohl, Patti (Patrick) Duffy, Kurt (Debbie) Kohl; his closest friends Dan Umnus, Allen Heckert, Val MacSwain; and the mother of his son Linda (Bruce) Verkuilen amongst numerous nieces and nephews. Mark is preceded in death by Parents Clarence and Marie Kohl; siblings Janice Kohl, Alan Kohl, Irene (Gene) Lamers and Ethel (Roger) Walbrun.

Marks son and granddaughters remember him as a kind, patient and loving father and Papa, who always made people laugh with his sarcasm and witty humor and who deeply loved those he held close.

Mark was passionate about his jeeps and classic cars and often indulged in poker and bingo with friends. He was a dedicated individual who loved drag races and spending time with family and friends.

A memorial service for Mark will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 12pm at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. Dan Umnus will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mark’s life following the service from 1pm-3pm at Camelot Bar & Grill, 1700 E Wisconsin Ave., Appleton.
