Margaret "Margie" (Howe) McIntyre

Margaret “Margie” McIntyre, age 94, passed away January 16, 2018 at Renaissance Assisted Living, in Appleton, WI. She was born May 13, 1923, in La Crosse, WI, to the late George and Laura (Probart) Howe. Margie was united in marriage to James “Jim” McIntyre, on January 19, 1946. They celebrated 59 years of marriage, until his death on February 7, 2005.

 
Margie was a loving, caring, and compassionate person, who loved spending time with her family.  She had a passion for all sports. Margie enjoyed camping, fishing, knitting, and reading. She and Jim also enjoyed breeding and raising AKC certified yellow labs. Margie volunteered her time and talents to Right to Life. 

Margie is survived by her six children: Mary (Philip) Hart, Ottowa, IL; Margi Jacobs, Hortonville, WI; Timothy McIntyre, Madison, WI; Charles (Karen)  McIntyre, Sun Prairie, WI; Jeffrey (Linda) McIntyre, Webster, WI; Patrick (Yvonne) McIntyre, Dodgeville, WI; 14 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; brother, Tom (Alice) Howe, La Crosse, WI. She was further preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary (Tom) Markos, Betty (Edie) Dietmaier; brother and sister-in-law, John (Jody) Howe.

A private family mass will be held.

Margie’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Renaissance Assisted Living, Rennes Health Center, and Asera Care Hospice for all of their care and compassion.
