LuAnn Mary (Liebhauser) Reimer, formerly Huffcutt, 59, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2021 after a courageous, faith-filled battle with numerous health conditions. She was born April 9, 1962 to Gilbert and Inez (Miller) Liebhauser.
After graduating from Menasha High School in 1980, LuAnn went to Fox Valley Technical College. It was there that she met the first love of her life, Richard Huffcutt, who she married on June 15, 1985. They lived in Greenville, where LuAnn worked at a local floral shop and where they welcomed their daughter, Gloria, in 1987. Rick passed away on April 16, 1991 after he lost his battle to cancer. After losing Rick, LuAnn and Gloria became even more inseparable and made many amazing memories together.
LuAnn began a special friendship with Clarence (“Clem”) Reimer, the owner of the floral shop she was employed at. Clem had lost his wife, Victoria, to cancer in 1992. The two began as grieving friends and grew into the most cherished friendship you could imagine. Somewhere along the way, they fell in love, and the two best friends became husband and wife on January 11, 2001. They had a marriage that was so special because of the immense friendship at its core.
LuAnn loved to spend time at their campsite in Redgranite. You could usually find LuAnn there cooking Gloria’s Top of the World Camping Potatoes over the campfire, taking her granddaughter Macy on golf cart rides through the campgrounds, or sipping on an old fashioned while playing cards. She also loved to sing. Her family will always remember her using song lyrics in the middle of sentences. LuAnn also loved to craft and arrange floral creations.
LuAnn is survived by her husband Clem, daughter Gloria (Rob) Boyce, and grandchildren “Grammy’s Girl” Macy and Baby J.; her siblings Dan (Cher) Liebhauser, Joanne Monday, Sally (Art) Gauthier, Janet (Brian) Cupp, and sister-in-law Carol Liebhauser. She’s also survived by mother-in-law Doris (Ebert) Huffcutt and the Huffcutt family. She’s survived by numerous nieces and nephews, who could always turn to her for advice, encouragement, and love; and great-nieces and nephews. LuAnn is also survived by her very special friends Trevor (Philip) Korth, who she loved like a son; Ken Klein, and Sue (Ken) DeWald. She is preceded in death by her first husband Rick, parents Gilbert and Inez, stepfather William Fitzgerald, father/mother-in-law Clarence Sr. and Clara (Nussbaum) Reimer, father-in-law Ivan Huffcutt; her brother David Liebhauser, brothers-in-law Larry Feistel and Ben Monday; and nephews Chad Liebhauser and Bradley Bitterman.
Her life will be celebrated on Thursday May 27th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville. Visitation is from 11:30 – 1:00, Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00, with entombment in the attached cemetery immediately after. While the couple cherishes flowers, in lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to help with final expenses and a path forward for her surviving family.
