Louis R. Schoerning, 84, former Shiocton resident, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. Louis was born August 6th, 1936 the son of Julius and Mabel (Thayer) Schoerning. Louis served in the United States Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956 earning the National Defense Service Medal. After his Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps he worked as a Journeyman Meat Cutter until his retirement. Louis is remembered as a kind soul and someone always willing to share his knowledge with others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Frances Day and Shirley Kramer, two infant sisters, Jill and Janet, brother in laws, Jim Day, Ed Kramer, Virgil Neibauer, Al Mieczynski, and Gary Marcks He is survived by his sisters Phyllis Neibauer, Barb (Joe) Recker, Peggy Schoerning, Linda Marcks, Mary Mieczynski, Patty Eisch, and Jane Schoerning. His brothers Ronald Scheorning and Julies (Kay) Schoerning. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
