Lorraine Mary Barbara Vander Wielen of Appleton aged 93 passed away on October 3rd, 2021 surrounded by her family. Lorraine was born to parents Emil Bohatschek and Henrietta Wudi on August 13th 1928.
Lorraine was a homemaker and worked part time as a Stanley saleswoman. She was married to her husband Michael for 68 years. She was the proud mother of two children, four grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Lorraine was a lifelong Packer fan and she enjoyed trips to the casino, fishing and hosting her famous Christmas parties for family and friends.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Michael, and brothers; Edlord, Frank, Emil, Max, and Bob.
She is survived by her son Christopher (Carla) VanderWielen, daughter Kim (Mark) Rader, grandchildren; Jennifer (Greg) Hojem, Bridget (Rob) Geisler, Krystal (Joe) Fowler, Chantel Rader (Quentin Wilson), and great grandchildren; Brandon, Shaina, Storm, Jabin, Evan and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Lorraine will be held at Valley Funeral Home on Saturday October 16th at 11:30 following a visitation from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
A special thank you goes out to the staff of Oak Park Place and Compassus Hospice for the love and compassion they have shown to Lorraine during her time in their care at Oak Park Place.
