Linda D. Howe, age 72 of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2022. Linda and Gordon “Butch” spent over 60 years together and married for 57 years. They were never apart. Linda was a homemaker; taking care of her family, always keeping a clean home and good hot meals on the table. She was a part of Calvary Bible Church in Neenah for 52 years. She always made sure her kids were in church to learn the word of the Lord. Linda loved keeping the outside of her house decorated for each season. She always loved riding her horse Pride (Pride in the name of Love). Her granddaughter Tasha named him as they both had a love of the Irish group U2. Linda’s sister Sandy would join on trail rides with her horse. Linda always made sure that if anyone needed anything, she would do her best to help. After 9/11 Linda and her sister Tammy and her daughter Mechille organized donations for the soldiers in Iraq. She had a whole room filled with donations she packed and organized for the Appleton Post Office to send to Iraq. Linda was proud to help the troops, and was very proud when her grandson Jeremiah joined the United States Navy. She loved to knit, sew and crochet. She won awards on baby blankets she made for each of her grandchildren. Linda did not stop, every time a great grandchild was born, she would make a blanket. Everyone from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren had a crocheted blanket made for them by Linda.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gordon “Butch” Howe, three children; Lynn (Tad) Heller, Janesville WI, Richard (Angel) Howe, Appleton WI and Mechille Howe, Appleton WI, six grandchildren; Cassie (Matt) Howe, Jeremiah (Elizabeth) Lozano, Mark (Dawny) Howe, Scott (Courtney) Howe, Keva (Paul) Heller and Kai (Chris) Heller. She is further survived by seven great grandchildren; Conner, Carson, Elijah, Euriah, Bryice, Jovanni and Harris, brothers and sisters, the Howe family, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Linda is preceded by her granddaughter, Tasha Howe, parents, Edward and Leah (Tenant) Pagel, brothers, Richard Brenneke and Lee Pagel and sisters, Sue Krueger and Tammy Pa. Further preceding her in death are her mother and father in law, Lloyd and Grace (Bosley) Howe, brothers in law; Delbert Gene Howe, Raymond Hoffensburger and Kermit Buman, sister in law, Donna Howe as well as cousins, aunts and uncles.
Linda is very missed by her family who loved her endlessly. Linda was always telling amazing stories of the Irish family and the Bible; she loved to spread the word of the Lord. She is deeply missed by her close sisters Sandy and Brenda. We will always remember Linda by her peace and love.
