Lawrence Weyenberg Obituary

Lawrence C. Weyenberg, age 80, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from a pneumonia-related infection, resulting in respiratory failure.

He was born on January 3, 1943 to the late Lawrence A. and Adeline (Fjellerod) Weyenberg in Appleton. After graduating high school, Larry joined the United States Army; he was with the 291st Combat Engineers as a Specialist 4. On September 3, 1966 he married Carol Thorne. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2004. Larry worked for Appleton Coated in Combined Locks as the Supervisor of the Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Larry enjoyed traveling with his wife and gardening. He also enjoyed watching all Wisconsin sports, the Packers, Badgers, Brewers and Bucks. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Kerri Frank and Jacquelyn (Steve) Getsfried; and grandchildren, Kelsie (David) Kington, Austin (Ivana Rios) Frank and Kennedy (Fiancé Devin Priebe) Getsfried.

In keeping with Larry’s wishes, the immediate family will be having a private service.

The family wishes to thank the Hospice Team at Cherry Meadows for the wonderful care given to Larry.
