Larry E. Blohm

Larry Eldon Blohm, 80, Greenville, WI, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was born on August 31, 1945, to Milton and Alvera Blohm. He graduated from Neenah High School, where he medaled in track and football. He later completed a journeyman welder apprenticeship and spent the majority of his career working at Wisconsin Wire Works and Voith Paper.

On September 10, 1966, he married the love of his life, Karen Elizabeth Nienhaus. Together they built a life in Greenville centered around family, faith, hard work, and many treasured memories.

He had a love for fishing and enjoyed many trips to Canada with family and friends.  He was an avid puzzler and loved snowmobiling, bowling, and spending time with “the boys” at their monthly breakfast club. A devoted church usher, he gave generously of his time and took pride in serving his church community.

Above all, he loved his family. He cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren and attended nearly all of his grandchildren’s sporting events. To his nieces and nephews, he was affectionately known as “Uncle Lars.” To many others, he was known as a jack of all trades — always the person to call when something needed fixing.

He will be remembered for his steady hands, generous heart, sense of humor, devotion to family, and willingness to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; his children, Sara (Michael) Hickey, Jame’ (John) Ciriacks, and Angie (Benjamin) Cousineau; his grandchildren, Luke (Kaylee) Hickey, Caleb Hickey, and Jadon, Jenna, and Jonah Ciriacks; and his great-grandchild, Kase Hickey. He is further survived by his sister, Donna (Carl) Sandstrom and his brother, Robert Blohm; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A Funeral Mass for Larry will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine St., Appleton. Visitation will begin at the church starting at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until the time of the Mass. For online condolences, please visit www.valleyfh.com.
