LaVerne Helen (Messman) Pheifer

LaVerne Pheifer, age 96 passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.  She was born in Neenah on March 15, 1928 to the late Hattie and Jilian Messman.  On September 3, 1948 she married Robert "Bob" Pheifer and they spent 73 years together.  LaVerne supported Bob and his brother Alan in the family business, Pheifer Bros. Construction Company, while devoting her life and love to raising her 4 children. LaVerne had a deep faith and love for her Lord and Heavenly Father.

LaVerne is survived by her children; Dawn (Brice) Birkhofer, Buffalo, WY, Laurie (Cal) Krisher, Scandinavia, WI, and Mary (Dale) Hahneman, Appleton, WI, daughter in law, Mary Pheifer, Missoula, MT, 10 grandchildren; Sandy Pheifer, Audrey (Eric) Gabhart, Adrian (Anna) Pheifer, Sarah (Stephen) Heyes, Lindsay Brotzman, Ted (Courtney) Krisher, Elissa (Logan) Braaten, Sarah (Chase) Syverson,  Bobby (Allison) Birkhofer, Rebecca Foss and 32 great grandchildren.

Preceding LaVerne in death are her husband Bob, her parents, her son Aaron, sister Florence Schroeder and brother George Messman, and her grandson in law Alex Foss.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am, Wednesday October 30, 2024 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St, Appleton, WI with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am.  A private interment will take place afterwards at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.

The family would like to thank the staff at CopperStone Assisted Living for their kindness and care the last 3 years, as well as Moments Hospice, especially Malissa, Cassie and Jenny.
