Kenneth A. Heuring

Kenneth A. Heuring peacefully slipped away to heaven in the early morning hours on March 9, 2025, surrounded by family.

Ken was born October 3, 1936 in Kimberly to Julia and Joseph Heuring. He often stated, “You can take the boy out of Kimberly, but you can't take the Kimberly out of the boy.” He graduated from Kimberly High School and St. Norbert College, and married JoAnn Ebben on September 28, 1957.  Together they proudly raised five children.

Friends and family alike will remember Ken as a kind, wise, generous and humble soul with a warm twinkle in his eye. 

Ken is survived by his wife of 67 years, JoAnn; five children:  Kathryn Ottman, David Heuring, Ann (Eric) Moen, Jane (Paul) Zimmerman, and John (Tracy) Heuring. He is further survived by one sister, Mary Kunstman; siblings-in-law: Ronald (Cynthia) Ebben, Victor (Joan) Ebben, Joel (Lanny) Ebben and Gary (Gail) Ebben.  He loved his seven grandchildren: Daniel (Kimberly) Ottman, Cory (Alex) Ottman, Janay Moen, Lucy Heuring, Alec Moen, Stella Heuring Cornelius and Walter Heuring. He had one sweet great-grandchild, Evelyn, and two more on the way this summer.  Ken had numerous nieces and nephews and many close, longtime friends who will miss him dearly.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Joseph Heuring and Edward Heuring; sisters: Margaret Heuring, Patricia Pelszynski and Judy Thome; in-laws: Marcella (Sally) Ebben and Joseph Ebben; son-in-law, David Ottman, and grandson, Zachary Moen.

A Christian Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday March 28, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 W. Lawrence Street in Appleton.  Friends and family will gather at the church starting at 9:00 AM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
