Kelly L. Thyrion, age 59, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 as the result of a motorcycle crash. Though his time here was cut far too short, he filled every mile of his journey with joy, humor, and an unmistakable spark that made life brighter for everyone around him. He was born on February 16, 1966 to Raymond Thyrion and Elaine (Benson) Williquette.
Kelly was never happier than when he was with his family and friends or taking a ride on his motorcycle. He was a Philadelphia Eagles fan, he could turn any Sunday into an event – win or lose, he showed up with the enthusiasm, loud cheers, and usually a joke ready to go.
For over five years, he walked a life of sobriety that he cherished deeply. He was a dedicated member of AA at the Genesis Club, where he not only found support but gave it, volunteering his time, lifting others up, and proving every day that hope and healing are real. His commitment to that community was one of his greatest accomplishments.
Above all else, Kelly loved his grandchildren. They were the light of his life, and he embraced every moment with them – laughing, teasing, showing up, and letting them know in his own humorous way just how much they meant to him.
Kelly is survived by his wife of 25 years: Peggy Thyrion; son, Alex (Sarah Wolf) Thyrion; step children: Marissa Bowers, Holly Davis; grandchildren: Cayden Thyrion, Harper Thyrion, Presley Thyrion, Adeline Kortbein, Nevaeh Bowers, Justice Bowers, Lyric Bowers, Tristan Bowers, Blake Bowers; mother, Elaine Williquette; siblings: Lisa (Chuck) Paape, Jessie (Joanne Schachtschneider) Thyrion, Bradley Thyrion, Michael Thyrion, Teresa (Kevin) VanDenBusch, Robert Thyrion; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Thyrion; step son, DelRoy “Lee” Davis; and step-fathers, Gerald Compton and Jerry Williquette.
Private family services will be held.
