Kelly Betow

Kelly Betow, age 42, passed away on October 17, 2024. He was born on July 9, 1982 in Menomonee Falls, WI. He was blessed to be lovingly raised by Kurt and LaVerne Betow. Kelly was united in marriage to Jessica Lueck on June 5, 2010, in Green Lake, WI. Later on in his life, God allowed Kelly to meet and form a bond with his biological father, Brian Petersen.

Kelly was an extremely hard-working and dedicated employee of Lincoln Contractor Supply for over 24 years, advancing to the position of Branch Manager.

As a God fearing, devoted Christian, Kelly was a faithful lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Neenah. He was never one to toot his own horn, unless it was Charlie Melk’s hand engraved trumpet, which he consistently played with the Festival Praise Family, of which he was a proud founding member. He formed a special bond with the members of this extended family praising God. It was here, while bringing the choir down a whole octave with his beautiful bass voice, that he met his best friend and love of his life, Jessica. Kelly was a devoted husband to Jessica and dedicated father to their 5 children.

Whether it be hunting, fishing, kayaking, or camping, he loved spending time outdoors especially when it was with his family and friends. He was often up for an adventure, especially since his nieces and nephews referred to him as their “Crazy Uncle Kelly!” 

Kelly was a unique individual that was open, honest, caring, funny, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was extremely supportive and always ready for a deep, intellectual conversation and to do anything to support his family and friends to make sure that they were taken care of.

Kelly could easily be summed up in three words: Faith, Family, and Music. 

Kelly is survived by his wife, Jessica Betow; children: Ella, Eli, Ezra, Eban, Edwin; parents, Kurt and Laverne Betow; brother: Kory (Jennifer) Betow; half sister: Stephanie Petersen; nieces and nephews: Emmy and Annie Betow, Evelyn and Maximus Else, Charlotte, Emma and Micaiah Saxon; biological father, Brian (Eva) Petersen; grandmothers: Joanne Betow-Harvey, Lois Miller, Dorothy Petersen; father and mother-in-law, Dan and Shelley Lueck; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Louisa (Jed) Else, Kaitlyn (Derek) Saxon, Jacob Lueck, Brad (Robin) Benike, and Ed (Angie) Klug. He was preceded in death by his son, Ellis; grandfathers: Jack Betow, Blaine Miller, Jim Petersen; and uncle, Craig Kjendalen.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1390 Breezewood Ln, Neenah. Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. We know that Kelly is in Heaven where there is no more mourning, so let’s show how happy we are by wearing colorful attire.
